Happy Summer, Esquire Hills Families!
As another wonderful school year ends, I want to thank you for your partnership, support, and the opportunity to work with your amazing children. It has been a year filled with learning, growth, kindness, and Eagle Spirit. We are so grateful to be part of such a caring school community.
I hope your family has a safe, relaxing, and fun-filled summer. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in August!
 
Family Connection Meetings
Again, this year, we will be holding Family Connection Meetings before school begins in place of our traditional Meet & Greet. These meetings provide an opportunity for families and teachers to connect, share information, and help students have a successful start to the school year.
Please watch for a ParentSquare notification this summer to sign up for a conference time on August 25 or August 26.
 
To help make the most of your Family Connection Meeting, we encourage you to spend a few minutes talking with your child about the following questions:

  • What do you want to learn more about this year?
  • What are you really good at?
  • What are some areas where you would like to grow?
  • What are some areas where you feel you need additional support?
  • What things make learning or growing more challenging for you?
  • What helps you learn and be successful at school?
  • What supports or strategies do you need in place to help you grow throughout the year?
These conversations help us better understand your child as a learner and partner together for a successful school year.
 
Important Back-to-School Dates
  • August 30 – First day of school (11:00 a.m. dismissal)
  • September 1 – 11:00 a.m. dismissal
  • September 2 – 11:00 a.m. dismissal
  • September 3 – Regular Thursday early release (1:10 p.m. dismissal)
  • September 4 – First full day of school and our annual Lunch on the Lawn from 12:00–1:00 p.m. Families are invited to join their student for lunch as we celebrate the start of a new school year.
 
Thank you again for an incredible year. We wish you a wonderful summer filled with rest, adventure, and special time with family and friends.
